Faculty of Business Organizes Educational Seminar Entitled “Fifty Years of the Glorious October Victories”

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Business organized on Tuesday at its headquarters, an educational seminar entitled "Fifty Years of October Victories", in the presence of Dr. El-Sayed El-Seifi, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Dr. Ayman Shteiwi, Vice-Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Alaa El-Din El-Gharabawy, Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and a large number of faculty members and students.

The seminar was delivered by a group of war heroes who took part in the glorious October victory, including Counsellor Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah, the media advisor and head of the October Heroes Association, Mr. Henedi Mahdi Abu Sharif, the hero who captured the first Israeli soldier and the founder of the 39th fighting group with the martyr Ibrahim El-Rifai, Mr. Samir Nouh, the hero of the 39th fighting group, Mr. Ali Abdelghani, the hero of the naval commando who captured the first Israeli pilot, Major General Muhammad Rabie, the hero and missile engineer, Major General Elmi Kamel, the hero of the Battle of Abu Atwa, and Major General Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, the hero of chemical warfare.

During the seminar, the heroes spoke about their roles during the glorious October War and the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs, who wrote with their pure blood the greatest pages of valor and loftiness. They presented a distinctive account of how to transform from the stage of setback after the 1967 war to the war of attrition and until the great October victory.
The event included several artistic performances by people with special needs to commemorate the victory, which received great interaction from the attendees.

Graduation of First batch of Alexandria University's Engineering Students Enrolled in 2+2 Agreement with University of Louisville, USA

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the students of the first batch of the Faculty of Engineering enrolled in the 2+2 agreement in cooperation with the University of Louisville, USA, on the occasion of their graduation and obtaining a bachelor's degree from Alexandria University and the University of Louisville, USA.
It is worth noting that the agreement signed between the two parties allows students of the Faculty of Engineering to be accepted into the dual degree program with the University of Louisville, USA, in the "Bioengineering" and "Computer Science and Engineering" programs. According to this agreement, the student studies the first two years at Alexandria University and studies the next two years at the University of Louisville, after which they obtain a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville in addition to a bachelor's degree from Alexandria University.
Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science Holds its Annual Symposium in Cooperation with Supreme Council of Culture

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science, inaugurated the symposium organized by the Faculty in cooperation with the Economics and Political Science Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture, entitled: “Paths of the Palestinian Issue in Light of the New Changes,” in which several professors of economics and political science from various Egyptian universities and institutes attended, as well as professors, faculty members, supporting staff, and students from both the departments of economics and political science.
The participants in the symposium praised the Palestinian people and the steadfastness of the people of Gaza in the face of the Zionist entity. Discussions demonstrated the impact of the Gaza War on regional security circles, the most prominent factors driving Egyptian foreign policy towards supporting the Palestinian issue, the components of the Egyptian position with regard to the Palestinian issue, and the strategic and economic importance of Gaza for Israel. Participants stressed the inevitability of the influence of political stability over economic stability, and that the solution to the Palestinian issue lies in cooperation and integration between the countries of the Arab world and Islamic countries, as well as the use of economic and political mechanisms to confront the colonial plague that Israel represents.
The symposium ended with some interventions by the students and attendees, which were answered by the lecturers.
Faculty of Early Childhood Education Organizes Second Scientific Forum to Discuss Modern Visions of Scientific Research

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the activities of the second scientific forum for graduate students started today, Saturday the 6th of May, at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Alexandria University, which was held under the title: “Modern Visions of Scientific Research in the Field of Early Childhood in the light of Sustainable Development” at the Students Activities Campus in Smouha.

Dr. Rehab Mahmoud Seddik, Dean of the Faculty and President of the Forum, indicated that the aim of holding this forum is to open the door to new educational thought that consolidates the concepts and foundations of sustainable development, believing in the role of early childhood education institutions in instilling these concepts. She pointed out the importance of the forum in highlighting the vital role of scientific research to crown all the efforts exerted in the advancement of the people, as sustainable development targets human beings in general.
The forum was attended by deans of different faculties, as well as deans of faculties of early childhood education and education in Egyptian universities, vice-deans of faculties for postgraduate studies and research, in addition to several faculty members, assistant staff, and postgraduate students at Alexandria University.

Faculty of Agriculture Organizes Educational Seminar on “International and Regional Changes and their Impact on Egyptian National Security”

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Department of Military Education at Alexandria University, organized at its conference hall an educational seminar for faculty students entitled “International and Regional Changes and their Impact on Egyptian National Security,” in which Major General of Staff Dr. Osama El-Gammal, Fellow of the Military Academy for Strategic Higher Education Studies, lectured.
Participants also included Professor Dr. Mohamed Bahey El-Din Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Mahdy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Heba Sabry Salama, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Staff Colonel Mohamed Farouk Abdelaziz - Director of the Military Education Department, Lieutenant Colonel Shehab El-Din Magdy - Deputy Director of the Military Education Department, members of the teaching and supporting staff, and a large number of students.

During the seminar, Dr. Osama El-Gammal spoke about the concept of national security, which is considered a declaration of the state’s comprehensive strategy to achieve its national goals to protect its lands and wealth against external and internal dangers, and provide security and prosperity in the present and future, and the role of political, military, economic, security, educational and health leaders in working to maintain Egyptian national security. He explained the types of influences and changes on the Egyptian economy and the current currency crisis, and the Egyptian state’s position on it with clarity and the complex international relations related to this crisis. The university guest praised the role of university youth and the necessity of awareness of what is happening around us in terms of all types of internal and external challenges and threats, whether regional or global, to achieve national goals.
The seminar concluded with a set of important questions, followed by some faculty students from the faculty choir team performing some patriotic songs expressing their love for Egypt. The seminar ended with the handing over of the faculty shield in honour of the university and faculty guest.
