Within the framework of the role of Alexandria University in serving the community, and under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa, President of Alexandria University, students of the Faculty of Fine Arts participated in implementing the sports mural on the wall of Alexandria University Stadium.
 
 
 
Dr. Nevin Gharib, acting dean of the faculty, indicated that the project involved 16 students from the faculty’s mural photography department as a graduation project, under the supervision of Dr. Mona Rajab and Dr. Donia Medhat, faculty members at the faculty. She explained that the project aims to recycle materials neglected in nature and transform them. For aesthetic field works in order to achieve the principle of sustainability and benefit from materials available in nature, she added that mosaics were used in implementing the entire project, and she pointed out that the students of the second year of the decoration department at the college implemented other ideas to transform environmental waste from wood and scrap into creative models with the aim of using them as cosmetic models for the fields in Alexandria for the coastal city to return to its splendor at the hands of its young artists.

Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Mahmoud El Maghraby, on the occasion of the issuance of the presidential decree to appoint him as Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary, wishing him success and continuous efforts to maintain the achievements of the faculty, stressing that all support and assistance will be provided to him for his success in performing his mission.

Under the patronage and supervision of Prof. Dr. Walid Elbarki, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University, an informative orientation session was successfully held for the 4+1 / 3+2 Dual Degree Program in collaboration with the University of Louisville (USA), with distinguished attendance from academic leaders and a large number of students interested in international study opportunities.

The event featured notable participation from Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Baz, Chair of the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Louisville, Prof. Dr. Mustafa ElNainay, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at Alamein University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Eltrass, Program Coordinator at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University.

During the session, attendees were introduced to the program's key features, which offer students the opportunity to earn a dual degree from both universities in various engineering disciplines. The presentation highlighted the program's academic and practical advantages, including internship opportunities and promising career prospects after graduation.

All student inquiries were addressed in detail, covering admission requirements, the academic environment at the University of Louisville, hands-on training options, and pathways to employment both locally and internationally.

The session reflected a high level of engagement and enthusiasm from students and reaffirmed the Faculty of Engineering's commitment to providing outstanding international academic programs that broaden students' global horizons and equip them with skills aligned with the needs of the modern job market.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the closing ceremony of distributing individual awards and distinction awards for the 12th Festival of Performing Arts was held, organized by the Technical Committee of the Alexandria University Students Union in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Nursing, in the presence of the deans of the faculties and the vice deans of the university faculties for education and student affairs.
 
 
 
The awards were distributed by Dr. Muhammad Bahi El-Din, Dean of the College of Agriculture, on behalf of Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. During the festival, 17 theatrical performances were held in the theaters of the Freedom Center for Creativity, the Anfushi Culture Palace Theater, and the University Theatre, under the supervision of the jury consisting of Dr. Manal Fouda, Professor of Acting and Directing and Head of the Theater Department at the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Sedika Lashin, Professor of Acting at the Theater Department at the Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Dalia Fouad, Lecturer of Decoration at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.
 
 
 
The jury announced that the show “Ras Al Ghoul” for the Faculty of Pharmacy won the first place, and the show “Saint-Malo” for the Faculty of Engineering won the second place, and the show “Captain Yahya Al-Nashed Team” faculty of arts won the third place, and the student Ahmed Abdel Rahim - Faculty of Pharmacy won the best director award, and the student Ahmed Ashraf - Faculty of Pharmacy won the award for best actor in a first role, student Elizabeth Naim - Faculty of Engineering won the award for best actress in a first role, student Abdul Rahman Adel - Faculty of Engineering won the award for best actor in a second role, and student Farah Nader - Faculty of Fine Arts won the award for best actress in a second role. And the student Ahmed Helmy - the Faculty of Pharmacy won the best decoration award, and the student Mohamed Salah - the Faculty of Education won the best choreographic award, and the student Ahmed Tariq from the Faculty of Law won the best lighting award, and the student Ahmed Helmy - the Faculty of Pharmacy won the best clothes award, and the student Mohamed Ibrahim - the Faculty of Education won the best music award, The student Nada Haridi from the Faculty of Pharmacy won the best makeup award.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Sciences held its second annual conference under the title: "The Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Sciences between Reality and Development Challenges".

In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty, pointed out the importance of this conference as it is an authentic university tradition in order to develop the faculty. He stressed the necessity of developing the content of the scientific curricula for the courses and adding some other courses to keep pace with the ongoing developments in the educational process at the global level, as well as making some amendments to the internal regulations for the bachelor’s level in order to raise the efficiency and quality of the educational process.
 
 
 
 
He also pointed out a number of axes, the most prominent of which are: quality and the faculty’s keenness to apply for a certificate of accreditation and quality, scientific research, encouraging faculty members and assisting staff to participate in various research projects, and keenness to publish research papers in prestigious academic journals, community service, support for the academic and professional training of faculty graduates, and the prominent role played by the training and qualification unit for the labour market.
 
 
 
In his speech, Dr. Osama El-Adly, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, reviewed the educational process, which has become a continuous and uninterrupted process throughout the year under the credit hour system, evaluated the process of academic guidance for students of the credit hour system, evaluated the regularity of exams, and presented some recommendations that would increase efficiency of the education and student affairs sector at the faculty.
 
 
 
Dr. Sherine Nosseir, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, reviewed the numbers enrolled in the faculty's diploma, master’s, and doctoral programs, and reviewed the most prominent challenges faced by the graduate studies sector in all its aspects. She pointed to the tremendous developments witnessed by the faculty’s library, most notably the trend towards providing library services completely electronically. In the same regard, Dr. Sherine Nosseir mentioned that the library’s work team entered 96% of the foreign books, 46% of the Arabic books, and 52% of the scientific theses into the Egyptian University Libraries Union system, and in her evaluation of the faculty’s scientific journal, Dr. Nosseir pointed out that the magazine’s evaluation has been graded according to the Supreme Council of Universities since 2020 until it reached 7 out of 7 points in 2023.
 
 
Dr. Ahmed Mandour, Head of the Economics Department, and Dr. Mamdouh Mansour, Head of the Political Science Department, presented working papers that addressed the most prominent challenges, in addition to proposals that would raise educational efficiency in the two scientific departments.
 
 
 
The conference sessions continued throughout the day and concluded with a number of recommendations intended to be implemented in the academic year 2023/2024.
