Joint Master of Science Degree in Innovation and Change Management
The joint collaboration between #HBMSU in Dubai UAE & Alexandria University in Egypt is the first of its kind in the Arab world, resulting in an academic program that earned accreditation from the concerned ministries of education in both countries; “Master of Science in Innovation and Change Management”.
This will contribute to opening a new level of education and support the Arab youth to adopt a modern vision for learning.

Two Programs at Faculty of Pharmacy Obtain International Accreditation from American Accreditation Commission for Pharmacy Education
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, staff and students, for obtaining international accreditation for the Pharm D and Pharm D - Clinical Pharmacy programs from the American Accreditation Commission for Pharmacy Education, which is one of the most important international accreditation bodies in the field of pharmacy.
Dr. Hanan Gewily, Dean of the Faculty, thanked the University President for providing all means of support and assistance, and thanked the team at the Faculty for the efforts made to reach this achievement, which confirms the Faculty's constant endeavour to provide the best for its students and members, and the University and Faculty's firm commitment to raising the level of education and providing academic programs with international standards.
Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University, Organizes Employment Forum for its Students and Alumni, Including 16 Companies and Hotels
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and the supervision of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, headed by Dr. Saeed Allam, Vice President of the University, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized an employment forum for its senior students and alumni. The forum took place on Wednesday, March 6 at the faculty headquarters, with the participation of 16 tourism and hotels companies in various sectors, including 3 restaurants, 7 tourism companies, and 6 international hotels.
Dr. Abeer Attia, Dean of the Faculty, stated that the forum aims to provide job opportunities for faculty graduates, as the faculty is keen to build partnerships with major companies and entities working in the field of tourism. The forum also works to familiarize students with the type of skills and capabilities required in the labour market.
Dr. Dina Ezz El-Din, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, indicated that the forum provides job and training opportunities for fourth-year students, and also provides summer training opportunities for third-year students, especially the (Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage Management) program, in preparation for selecting a number of them for employment.
The forum activities were supervised by Dr. Samar El-Qasrawy, Acting Head of the Department of Tourism Studies and Executive Director of the Faculty’s Special Programs, faculty members, a large number of students and graduates, and representatives of major tourism companies and international hotel and restaurant chains.
Dr. Nefertiti Zaki Re-appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Nursing
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Nefertiti Zaki, on the occasion of the issuance of the presidential decree to renew her appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, wishing her success and continuous efforts to maintain the achievements of the faculty, stressing that all support and assistance will be provided to her for her success in performing her mission.
Faculty of Medicine Organizes Celebration Entitled “Egyptian Soldiers, Best on Earth” Honoring October War Heroes
Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Medicine organized a ceremony honoring the heroes of the October War on the occasion of the golden jubilee of this great anniversary. The event was held under the title “The Egyptian Soldier is the Best Soldier on Earth,” in which participants were Major General Elmi Kamel, hero of the Abu Atwa Battle, Dr. Mohamed Nour, the hero of the Battle of Kabrit, Major General Mohamed Rabie, known as the missile engineer, Dr. Ibrahim Abdallah, the media advisor, and Mr. Heneidi Mahdi Abu Sherif known as "father of the heroes", and one of the founders of Fighting Group 39 headed by the Martyr Ibrahim El-Rifai. The event was attended by Dr. Tamer Abdallah, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, Dr. Iman Youssef, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, and several faculty members and students.
In her speech, Dr. Iman Youssef welcomed the heroes of the October War, stressing that they represent good role models for Egypt’s promising youth who will lead Egypt to the highest levels of sophistication and progress.
Dr. Tamer Abdallah also confirmed that the Egyptian army has achieved a miracle that the world is talking about until now, pointing to the goal of this event, which is to shed light on the heroes of the October War and introduce our students and youth to the heroism they presented. He called on the youth to work hard and take these heroes as role models.
Major General Elmi Kamel, hero of the Battle of Abu Atwa and commander of the 1st Platoon of the 1st Company of the 133rd Commandos Battalion, recounted the heroism performed by his battalion in the Battle of the Deversoir, and paid tribute to the martyr Ibrahim El-Rifai, who sacrificed his life in this battle, to the men of the Egyptian Commandos, and to all the martyrs of the war.
Dr. Mohamed Nour, the hero of the Battle of Kabrit, indicated that he joined the 130th Fleet Infantry Brigade Battalion, as it was the only infantry battalion in the Egyptian fleet. This battalion was besieged for 134 days at Kabrit Point, which witnessed the strongest military battles between the Egyptian army and the Israeli enemy army, as it was the remaining point which confirmed the complete evacuation of the enemy forces from Sinai.
The hero Heneidi Mahdi Abu Sherif explained that he carried out 133 operations through Fighting Group 39 of the Marine Commandos Forces, and captured the first Israeli prisoner during the war.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Tamer Abdallah and Dr. Iman Youssef honored the heroes of the October War.
