Dr. Konsowa congratulates the faculty of Agriculture for winning 3 research projects in the initiative to link scientific research with industry
Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the professors of the Faculty of Agriculture in El-Shatby, Dr. Marsa El-Souda, Dr. Ibrahim El-Sayed, and Dr. Sameh Awad, after receiving today the contracts for their winning projects within the initiative to link scientific research with industry, which is the appeal launched by the Academy of Scientific Research in July 2022, to find innovative applied scientific and technological solutions for the dairy sector.
Today, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Ms. Doaa Salima, Executive Director of the Center for Industrial Modernization, handed over the contracts for the three winning projects to the professors of the Faculty of Agriculture.
Dr. Muhammad Bahey El-Din, Dean of the College of Agriculture, indicated that these projects come within the framework of the strategy launched by Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of the University, with the need to benefit from the research outputs and projects of the university, develop the concept of knowledge-based industry and maximize the benefit of research to serve the community, explaining that cooperation With industry, support for innovation, innovators, and technological entrepreneurship comes at the top of the priorities of Alexandria University and Egypt's vision for development 2030, and he added that 3 research outputs submitted by the Faculty of Agriculture out of 8 at the level of the Republic were selected for those who have the ability to implement their projects with industrial partners according to specific criteria and a relevant time plan.

Faculty of Education Service Center Continues Teacher Training Programs for Private and International Schools
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Anwar Farrag, Dean of the Faculty of Education, the Service Center at the Faculty of Education continues the educational program for teachers of the Egyptian American School, in the presence of school representatives. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Khaled Salah Mahmoud, Assistant Professor at the Department of Education at the Faculty of Education, on the occasion of winning the Appreciation Award for Advocacy and Islamic Jurisprudence for the year 2022 granted by the State Litigation Authority. At the authority’s headquarters, after announcing his winning of the award by the prize’s higher committee formed by the head of the State Affairs Authority, and the membership of Prof. Shawki Allam, Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, for his research presented entitled: “Facing Epidemics in Islamic Thought”, wishing He has more progress, success and payment.
Faculty of Arts Holds a Seminar on the "Armed Forces Heroism in the Glorious October War”
In light of Alexandria University’s celebrations of the golden jubilee of the victories of the glorious October War,
The Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, organized a seminar entitled "The Heroics of the Egyptian Armed Forces during the Glorious October War." The guest speakers of the seminar were Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Soul, a historian, military analyst and lecturer at Egyptian universities, Major General Mahmoud Mohamed Abul-Maati, one of the heroes of the Deversoir Battle, and Major General Hassan Mohamed Nassar, one of the heroes of the Battles of Oyoun Musa.
The event was attended by Dr. Hani Khamis, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Naglaa Abou-Agag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Magdy Agamiya, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and a group of faculty members, students, and faculty employees.
In his speech, Dr. Hani Khamis stressed that the October War is a turning point in Egypt’s contemporary history because it restored hope in the souls of Egyptians, stressing that commemorating October calls for the values of loyalty and belonging in the souls of Egyptians. He indicated that the Egyptian state needs work, diligence, perseverance, and summoning the spirit of victory, adding that the faculty is keen to invite our heroes every year to draw lessons learned and teach our students the meanings of honour, pride and dignity, so that we may honour our heroes and remember our righteous martyrs.
Dr. Magdy Agamiya confirmed that the October War marked heroic acts from which the world learned the meanings of heroism, dignity, sacrifice, and redemption, pointing out that Egypt witnessed very difficult events, and she was able to overcome those difficulties with a high fighting spirit. He sent a message to the students to preserve their homeland, and not to be led by rumors aimed at destabilizing the country.
During the seminar, the heroes of the October War gave lectures recounting the stories, sacrifices, and memories of the War of Attrition and the glorious October War.
President of Alexandria University Witnesses the Graduation Ceremony of Faculty of Engineering 77th Class
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, witnessed the celebration organized by the Faculty of Engineering on the occasion of the graduation of its 77th batch, in the presence of Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Saeed Allam, Dean of the Faculty and Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Mostafa El-Naggar, President of Matrouh University, Dr. Hisham Seoudi, Head of the Syndicate of Engineers in Alexandria, Dr. Essam Wahba, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Walid Abdelazim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Wael El-Maghlani, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, in addition to former university presidents, deans and vice-deans of faculties, members of the House of Representatives and Senate, faculty members, representatives of various bodies, as well as parents of graduates.
At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the glorious October victory, and he greeted the students’ parents, thanking them for their efforts in raising their children until they have reached this great day. Dr. Konsowa highlighted the meeting of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, last Tuesday with the Supreme Council of Universities, indicating his excellency's keenness to develop the educational system and raise the competitiveness of graduates.
Dr. Konsowa pointed out that Alexandria University works in accordance with the Egyptian state’s strategy in developing education by establishing partnerships with major international universities. He announced that the number of joint degree cooperation agreements signed by Alexandria University with international universities exceeded 50 degrees, explaining that Alexandria University is seeking globalization by establishing its international branch in partnership with major international universities, and Alexandria National University, which includes new and distinguished study programs, in addition to the opening of a number of international university branches that will be located within Alexandria University. He also explained that this year is the year of complete equipping of the university’s laboratories, and the laboratories will be developed in the faculties of the medical sector and the faculties of humanities. He stressed that the university pays special attention to developing the scientific research system through program based education and linking it to the technology park, coinciding with the building of the new republic, where the role of scientific research will not be limited only to publication, but also to application,without burdening the state with any additional financial burdens.
At the end of his speech, Konsowa advised the students to keep Egypt in mind because they have become part of its promising future.
While Dr. Jacqueline Azer conveyed the greetings of Major General Mohamed El-Sherif, Governor of Alexandria, to parents and students, she stressed that the Egyptian state is witnessing development in all state institutions kunder the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the country needs the efforts of her children, noting that the Alexandria Governorate is keen to provide support to all its graduates because they are leaders of the future.
While Dr. Saeed Allam confirmed that the celebration of the graduation of the 77th Engineering class coincided with Egypt’s celebrations of the glorious October Victory Day, in which we celebrate the 50th anniversary of this great victory. Dr. Allam confirmed that the graduation day is a starting point for achieving goals and objectives. Allam addressed the students, stressing that the faculty has prepared them to create a promising future, and stressing that they should be proud of their graduation from this prestigious faculty, to which we all owe thanks and gratitude. He added that the faculty is always working to raise the students’ competitiveness to be pioneers at both the local and international levels, by providing many programs and agreements that have entered into force with international universities.
While Dr. Wael El-Maghlani congratulated the graduates, pointing out that the faculty aims to create generations that combine solid knowledge and good morals through an inspiring educational environment that pushes them towards the highest levels of oosuccess. He pointed out that the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University works according to an integrated system that aims to raise educational and research services that respond to the needs of its community, linked to academic values.
While Dr. Hisham Seoudi expressed his pleasure for being at the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University, pointing out that it is a scientific edifice to which the world attests to the quality and excellence of its graduates, stressing lthat the graduates are embarking on a new life that depends on responsibility. He also congratulated the parents and students, wishing them success to be useful to themselves and their society, and to be distinguished leaders of their dear homeland, Egypt.
At the end of the celebration, the graduates took the oath behind Dr. Hisham Seoudi, head of the Engineers Syndicate in Alexandria.
