Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, members of the project team, funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), visited the Faculty of Education to improve the abilities of primary school students in mathematics. To upgrade the outcomes of mathematics learning among students of the first grades from the primary stage, acquire mathematical concepts, learn basic arithmetic skills, and develop a positive attitude towards mathematics and its learning. Project activities.
The visit was attended by Akina Furuoka from the Japanese side, and Nanako Nakaie, and from the Egyptian side, Prof. Dr. Salah Al-Kharashi, and a. Muhammad Imam, and a. Ahmed Yehia, and a. Rahma Saad.

Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi congratulated Dr. El Sayed Abdellatif Al-Siefy on the occasion of the Republican decree to be appointed as Dean of Faculty of Commerce for three years.

Alexandria University Council for Graduate Studies and Research headed by AU vice president Dr. Hisham Gaber adopted the proposal of creating Master degree in blood bank in the Institute of Medical Researches.

The Council also adopted the proposal of creating Specialized Diploma in Applied Medical Chemistry and Professional Diploma in Biomedical Chemistry in the Institute of Medical Researches.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Engineering is organizing the “Engineering Forum for Business and Careers for the Year 2024”, from May 11 to 12, 2024, at the Faculty’s headquarters.
 
 
Dr. Essam Wahba, acting dean of the faculty of Engineering and Vice Dean of the faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, pointed out the goal of the forum, which is to provide an environment that brings together companies and those seeking job opportunities in the fields of business and employment, pointing out that the forum is attended by a large number of well-known companies in the fields of engineering and industry.
 
 
Dr. Dr. Walid Abdel Azim, the faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, stressed the importance of the forum, which provides the opportunity to get to know the participating companies, submit CVs, and participate in immediate interviews with company representatives, explaining that there will also be the opportunity to attend workshops and orientation sessions aimed at enhancing skills. Attendance by students and graduates and professional capacity development is provided through the University Center for Professional Development at the College of Engineering and participation in organizing activities.
 
 
Dr. Wael Al-Maghlani, the faculty vice dean for education and student affairs, explained that it is possible to register now, to learn about the participating companies, which are a large number of prestigious companies in the labor market, and the companies will offer distinctive opportunities in various fields such as civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and information technology.

Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Higher Institute of Public Health will commence the activities of its tenth international conference next Sunday morning, the 27th of November. This conference is organized in collaboration with the World Health Organization (Eastern Mediterranean Office), and Save the Children International UN organization. It will be held under the title "Telehealth", and its activities will last for two days.
 
Dr. Heba El-Kady, Dean of the Institute and President of the Conference, indicated that the conference is attended by a group of college professors from universities in Egypt and the Arab world who are interested in the field of public health, as well as several speakers from Africa, Europe, and America, in addition to some online participations. She added that the conference is presenting through its sessions new visions of public health in the third millennium, as well as many aspects of the concept of telehealth, its present and future, the role it plays in emergencies and its advantages and disadvantages. She pointed out that the international conference will devote several sessions to discuss the recommendations of the Climate Summit (COP 27), where the most important of these recommendations will be discussed, and the various theses adopted by Egypt and the world will be presented. Panel discussions will be held to discuss the latest advances in the field, as well as a special session on heart diseases and their prevention, and what is new in cardiology.
