The Council of Deans of Alexandria university during its urgent meeting on Tuesday 12/9/2017 headed by university president Dr. Essam El Kurdi approved the proposal of the Dean Dr. Alsayed Alsaify to provide curriculums on CD for the students of the four classes in the Faculty of Commerce and to provide computer labs.

He also suggested to provide 300 copy in the library for free borrowing and to create recordings and videos by each professor to be available on YouTube.

The Council also approved the proposal of the acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Ghada Moss who suggested to generalis the trail of providing electronic books for the open education system.

 

Dr. Abdul Aziz Konswa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering congratulated and honored the student Saber Fekry Sakhr from the Department of Production Engineering for achieving the first place in the international contest for youth and sustainable development ZERO HACKATHON 2016 which was held in Rome – Italy.

The competition was held in the period from 29 November to 2 December 2016 under auspices of Food and Agriculture

Organization (FAO), the International Youth Foundation and the International Organization for Society Development in Italy.

The student Saber Sakhr invented a new technique for water purification named TWOPRO and designed to be one of the effective solutions for the problem of water pollution suffered by the international community in genera and Egypt in particular. According to the World Health Organization estimates, more than 768 million people depend on the supply of non-improved water containing high levels of pollutants.

The Youth Welfare Department at the faculty of Commerce, in cooperation with the Addiction Anti-Addiction Fund, organized an awareness-raising campaign against drug addiction, and the campaign was held in the college’s yard, with the participation of students showing the extent of students ’awareness of the need to participate and explain the harms of drugs and addiction provided by the Fund, with full and complete commitment to all precautionary measures and social distancing

 

The Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science organized a symposium on the Palestinian problem and its implications for the Egyptian national security. A lecture was delivered by the ambassador Mohammed Orabi the former Egyptian minister of Foreign Affair. Mr. Orabi is currently President of the foreign affairs committee in the House of Representative. The symposium was attended by Dr. Kadri Ismail Dean of the faculty, Dr. Mamdouh Mansour, Head of the Political Science Department, Dr. Ali Abdel Wahab, Faculty deputy for Education and Students Affairs and a group of faculty members and students.

Within the framework of the activities of the first scientific forum of the Educational Innovations and Distance Learning Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, the Educational Innovations and Distance Learning Unit at the faculty is organizing a student competition entitled "Innovative Business Ideas Competition for Entrepreneurs".
This competition is an opportunity to fund the projects of creative students at the Educational Innovations Incubator at Alexandria University “Pilot Incubator”. It comes within the framework of the activities of the first scientific forum of the Educational Innovations and Distance Learning Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts, which was held under the title Towards a Sustainable Digital Future and within the pre-incubation activities of the Innovations Incubator.

An online introductory lecture on the Pilot Innovation Incubator will be held Tomorrow, Monday, the 27th of March 2023, at 9:00 pm, delivered by Dr. Mohamed Sultan - Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, founding member and member of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria University Incubator for Educational Innovations and Distance Learning.
